Odelia "Dee" Watkins age 84 formerly of Deerwood died February 4, 2013 at St. Therese Home in New Hope. Dee was born on June 23, 1928 in Plaza, North Dakota. She was a retired RN at the Cuyuna Regional Medical and Care Centers in Crosby with 18 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby and was a crisis line volunteer for many years. She is survived by 7 sons, Blaine (Darlene) Watkins of Bloomington, Ronald (Mary Beth) Watkins of Eagan, Kerry (Peggy) Watkins of Outing, Thomas (Soon Ok) Watkins of Panama City, FL, Daniel Watkins of Duluth, Neal Watkins of Brooklyn, NY and Lance Watkins of St. Louis Park; 2 daughters, Jane Watkins of Mounds View and Colleen (James) Hastings of Clinton, IA; 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Gery (Helen) Kok of Babbitt, David (Barbara) Kok of Minnetonka, and Alan Kok of Long Prairie;and brother-in-law, Bill Hogan. Preceding her in death are her parents Henry and Helen (Laumeyer) Kok, 2 brothers, Jerome and Kenneth Kok and 1 sister, Irene Hogan. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Crosby. Friends may call at Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 5 to 8 pm on Friday with a prayer service at 7 pm and on Saturday 1 hour prior to services at church. Memorials are preferred to St. Therese Home, New Hope or the Alzheimer's affiliation of choice.
