Pamela M. Bye

Pamela Marie Bye, 52, of Brainerd died November 5, 2010, 2:45 pm, at her home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Pam was born on September 30, 1958, to Ted and Dorothy (Cielinski) Sienko. She graduated from Milaca High School and Brainerd Area Vocational Technical School as a Dental assistant.

Pam was united in marriage to Randy Bye on October 13, 1984, at St. Francis Church in Brainerd. Together they raised two children. Pam worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Robert Bender and Dr. Carol Winegar in Brainerd for 11 years. In 1990, Pam and Randy purchased the Chaparral Bar and Restaurant in Brainerd. Together they built the business to include the Bunkhouse Hotel and Timbermist Banquet and Catering Hall.

Pam was very active with her children and their activities such as hockey, soccer, football, swimming, track, and triathlon. She was also active in Sertoma, Business Networking International (B.N.I.), and Relay for Life.

Pam was well known for her thousand pairs of shoes, jewelry, vacationing to some very interesting spots, being a hostess for the business as well as all of her children's friends, and her love of family, friends, and life in general. She will be remembered for her strength and courage throughout her entire illness.

She is survived by her husband Randy of 26 years; one son, Jason and his friend Laura of Brainerd one daughter; Jessica of Brainerd; mother, Dorothy Sienko of Milaca; brother Kevin Sienko of Milaca; sisters Karen (Cato) Manifold of Merrifield and Cheryl (Orrin) Albertson of Milaca and many other loving relatives. Pam also enjoyed the friendships of many.

Pam is preceded in death by her father, Ted Sienko.

Funeral services will be11 a.m. Friday, November 12th at St. Francis's Catholic Church in Brainerd. Burial will be at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Milaca on Saturday, 11am. Friends may call on Thursday at Timbermist in Brainerd from 4 to 8 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. The family wishes to give thanks for the many visits from relatives and friends. Also a special thanks to the Nisswa Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Pam as she ended her journey.
