Patricia "Hasskamp" Crews

Patricia Ann (Hasskamp) Crews age 82 died on April 4, 2013 at her home in Lakewood, CA. She was born to Fredrick and Laura (TerVeen) Hasskamp in Crosby on April 5, 1930. Pat was a Crosby-Ironton High School graduate, class of 1948; attended Brainerd J.C. from 1948- 1950 receiving and Associate of Arts; from 1950-1953 she attended San Diego State, receiving her BA degree in education; she continued her education from 1954- 1956 at California University in Long Beach attaining her masters in Education Administration; Then from 1970- 1975 received her PAD in Education Administration from University of Southern California; She ran Teen Mother School in Los Angeles for 13 years, retiring in 1988; Pat was active in many travel groups and spent a lot of time traveling; she was an active member of Pi Omega Pi business fraternity, and California State Education Association; she was a member and sunshine person for Cerritos Gadebouts. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Nelson Crews in 1996; 3 brothers, Robert, Ken and Fritz Hasskamp; and 2 sisters, Myrtle Murphy and Irene Roth. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 am on Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 5 to 8 on Thursday with a rosary at 7 pm and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
