Paulette Marie "Pauly" Abear

Paulette “Pauly” Marie Abear, passed away peacefully at on the early morning of November 10th her home after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Pauly was 72 years old.

Pauly was born October 26th, 1952 to Lansin and Deloris Hamilton. She grew up in Deerwood and attended Crosby Ironton High School. After graduation, Pauly attended Brainerd Vocational Technical School where she received a degree in Banking and Finance. She went on to marry Bill Abear in 1972 and they have 2 children.

Pauly had many jobs, but she is probably most remembered for being a dedicated school bus driver for over 25 years with CI transportation. She found much joy in driving for the Schiffler family. Pauly Co-Owned Everygreens Up North with her daughter for 5 years and had a special knack for decorating.

Pauly also had a passion for horses from the time she was a young girl up until she could no longer physically care for them. But mostly, Pauly would have told you she was most proud of her grandchildren and that she loved spending time with them.

Pauly is preceded in death by her father, Lansin and mother, Deloris. She is survived by her husband Donald “Bill” Abear Jr. and her 2 children, Jon (Trisha) Abear & Bobbie (Ryan) Kovatovich. Grandchildren, Cory, Valerie, Mattie, Maddie, Katie, Colter & Piper. 2 sisters, 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Deerwood Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
