Peggy Louise Hillman

Peggy Louise Hillman, age 68 of Deerwood, passed away at her home on May 20, 2026. She was born on July 27, 1957 in Brainerd to Frank and Charlotte (Harnois) Haney. Peggy was united in marriage to Gary Hillman on May 8, 1976, in Brainerd, enjoying their 50th anniversary this year.

Peggy was a member of the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood. She had a love for gardening and sewing with her sewing group.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Gary; two sons, Zachary (Theresa) Hillman of Bovey and Jacob Hillman of St. Louis Park; her mother, Charlotte Haney of Abilene, TX; one brother, Larry (Mary) Haney of Abilene, TX; one sister, Patricia (Terry) Christle of Aitkin and two granddaughters.

Preceding Peggy in death is her father, Frank Haney.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood. A visitation will be held on Friday at the Cascade United Methodist Church from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you plant daffodils in Peggy’s memory. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
