 
            Lois Peterson Lois Elizabeth Peterson age 92 of Crosby died on April 7, 2010 at her home. She was born on March 29, 1918 in Cass County to Richard and Edith (Wynn) Rider. Lois was a former employee at the "Y" Club in Garrison, Edna's Ladies Apparel in Crosby and Crosby Manufacturing in Riverton. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby and Immanuel's Miriam Circle and quilting group. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting and gardening. Lois spent many hours taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by 3 sons, Carl (Julie) Peterson of Thief River Falls, David (Claudia) Peterson of Crosby, and Dennis (Linda) Peterson of Deerwood; 2 daughters, Susan (Howard) Bischoff of Bradenton, FL and Kathlene (Gregory) Meyer of Aitkin; 2 brothers, Gilbert Rider of Deerwood and Clarence Rider of Yuma, AZ; 3 sisters, Edna Wolford, Myrtle Bollenbacher and Vietta Rude all of Crosby; 2 sisters-in-law; Marie Oseland and Joyce Rider both of Crosby; brother-in-law; Jim Cook of Grand Rapids; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles "Howard"' 1 grandchild, Carolyn Bischoff, 1 great grandchild, Sean Drennan ; 5 brothers, Richard, Ernest, Leo, Jewel and Robert Rider; 1 sister, Esther Cook. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby and 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
