Raymond I. Ferrari, age 83 of Aitkin formerly of Cuyuna died on November 19, 2020 at the Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin. He was born in Crosby on February 15, 1937 to John and Amelia (Kosnitch) Ferrari. He served as a Specialist in the U.S. Army. Ray married Catherine “Cathey” Bjerkness on February 15, 1994 in Brainerd. Ray was retired Police Officer from the Crosby Police Department with 34 years of service, and a retired Crosby Fireman.
Ray is survived by sons, Mike (Allison) Ferrari of Emily, Mark (Shanon) Ferrari of Cuyuna, Tony (Diane) Ferrari of Lincoln, CA and Ted (Jennifer) Ferrari of Baxter; daughter, Amanda (Tim) Jensen of Pillager; 1st wife, Karen Ferrari of Crosby; one brother, Bob Ferrari of Crosby; two sisters, Delores “Dodo” (Bob Geske) Waffensmith of Deerwood and Glee (Keith) Lundgren of Crosby; Sister-in-law, Joyce Ferrari of Crosby; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Preceding Ray in death are his parents; his wife and one brother, John “Jinx” Ferrari.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
