Richard Charles "Charlie" Mills

Richard Charles “Charlie” Mills, age 86 of Crosby, passed away on September 28, 2024 at home with Carol and Henry by his side.  He was born on June 24, 1937 in Boone, IA to Charles and Murrel (Gratton) Mills.  He married Carol Schellin on August 1, 1970 in Aitkin.  He was a retired custodian for the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby with 25 years of service.  Charlie was a member the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood and the Aitkin American Legion Post #86.

Charlie is survived by his wife Carol and his canine companion, Henry; his brother, William (Dawn) Mills of Brainerd; his sister, Rose Mills of Pillager, sister-in-law, JoAnn Schellin of LaCenter, MN and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Charlie in death are his parents and one brother, Robert Mills.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
