Richard "Dick" Haraway

Richard Grayson "Dick" Haraway age 82 of Crosby died at the St. Cloud Hospital on Thursday, January 31, 2013. He was born on July 10, 1930 in Chicago, Ill to Harry and Ellen (Burkle) Haraway. He was a US Army Veteran. He married Barbara Fairchild on July 3, 1952 . He employed for 20 years with Viking Food Service in the Twin Cities. After retirement They move to Rush Lake outside of the Twin Cities, for 12 years, Florida for 4 years, Waite Park for 5 years and then Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby since March of 2012. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara; son and daughter-in-law, Geoff and Deb Haraway of Eden Prairie; 2 daughters and son-in-law; Linda Wheeler Blackelk of Carson City, NV and Laura and Steven Helseth of Crosslake; 1 brother, Ralph (Elaine) Haraway of Texarkana, AK; 1 sister Linda (Jim) Gray of Little Rock, AK; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 pm on Thursday, February 7th at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the services on Thursday.
