Richard "Rick" Pankratz
July 19, 1959 — July 20, 2014
Richard James "Rick" Pankratz, age 55 of Deerwood formerly of Pequot Lakes, died on July 20, 2014 from cancer and also battled ALS for 4 years. He was born on July 19, 1959 in Rochester, MN to Ronald and Margery (Hughes) Pankratz. Rick graduated from the Rosemont High School, class of 1978. He earned his B.A. degree in business management from the College of St. Scholastica.
Rick is survived by his parents, Ronald and Margery; son, Ronald Hughes Jr. and a daughter, Nicole (Rick) Kelly; 1 brother, David Pankratz and 2 sisters, Vicky (Pat) Ruiz and Pam Boyd; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; and seven nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. Burial will be at the Deerwood Scandia Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby and on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
