Rita (Burris) Lindberg

Rita (Burris) Lindberg, age 93, a 21 year resident of Crosslake, MN and formerly of Coon Rapids, MN, passed away on December 9, 2021.

Rita had a passion for travel, camping, feeding the birds and bird watching, sewing, crocheting, puzzles, reading, planning and cooking fantastic meals, noteworthy deviled eggs and baking cookies.  She had a hard time passing up an interesting new recipe or an invite on a trip.  She was a master seamstress and could design, create and sew to a finished product.  She will be missed by all.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Lindberg; Parents, Art and Mae Burris; sister, Ruecel (Burris) Branom.

She is much loved and survived by son, Craig (Robin) Lindberg; daughter, Karen (Rick) Berglund; 8 Grandchildren, Jeremy (Jolene) Balfany, Joshua (Mya) Balfany, Travis (Ashley) Balfany, Tanner (Jenn) Balfany, Ketti Lindberg, JohnLars (Emily) Lindberg, Melissa (Ryan) Westervelt and Bradley (Celina) Berglund; 15 Great Grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Kaufert and June Johnson; nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Celebration of Life will be on December 20, 2021 at The Mill Site located at 111 Harrison St., Anoka, MN 55303 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm with Memorial service starting at noon. Buffet will be served. Internment and Burial will be in the late spring/early summer of 2022 at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids, MN.  Date and time to be determined.
