Rita Alma White

Rita Alma White age 91 of Crosby formerly of Outing, died on January 23, 2017 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on July 26, 1925 in Marshalltown, IA to Vincent and Florence (Hoffman) Schoborg. She married Paul White on January 19, 1943 in Haverhill, IA. Rita was retired co-owner and operator of White Brothers Greenhouse in Marshalltown, IA. After retiring Rita and Paul moved to Outing in 1978. She continued her work with gardening and plants. She also spent time enjoying crocheting, deer hunting, ice fishing and carpentry. She was a member of St. Emily’s Catholic Church in Emily and the Lakers Lions Club of Emily and Outing.
Rita is survived by one son, Rick (Kathye) White of Marshalltown, IA; one daughter, Paulette White of Outing; three sisters, Rose Stalzer and Frances Stalzer both of Marshalltown, IA and Vivian Stalzer of Haverhill, IA; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Rita in death are her parents, her husband Paul in 2000; two brothers, Herman and Raephel Schoborg and one sister, Marian Kopel.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown, IA. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
