Robert William Moe

Robert William Moe age 71 of Ironton died on October 30, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud. He was born in Braham on November 23, 1942 to William and Agnes "Mae" Sorenson Moe. Bob was a US Army veteran serving from July of 1962 to July of 1964. He was employed with Zontelli Brothers; constructed Taconite plants on the Iron Range and he work as a roofer in the Twin Cities for many years, retiring in 2003.
Bob is survived by 1 son, Ben Moe (Jennifer Smith) of Deer River; 1 brother, Ken (Barb) Moe of Crosby; 4 sisters, Ruby Nelson of Crosby, Glennis Maruskie of Battleview, ND, Gerry Klopfleisch of Ironton and Betty (Tom) Swensen of Emily; sister-in-law, Judy Moe of Cass Lake; lifetime friend, Jim Torvinen of Rutherfordton, NC and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him death are his parents, 1 brother, Clarence in 1986; brothers-in-law, Marlin T. "Muggs" Nelson, Nealin Maruskie and Robert Klopfleish and 1 nephew, Eric Moe and 1 great nephew, Trevor Johnson.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Myrin-James American Legion in Ironton from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A memorial Smear Tournament will start at 4:00 pm. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
