Robert Michael Polich Sr. age 94 of Deerwood died at the St. Cloud Hospital on September 30, 2015. He was born on June 7, 1921 in Crosby to Mike and Violet (Perovich) Polich. Bob married Eunice McMasters on August 15, 1942 in Crosby. He was a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran. He owned and operated the Sportsman's Club in Deerwood from 1950 to 1985. He was a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton the DVA and St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Duluth.
Bob is survived by 2 sons, Douglas (Barbara) Polich of Edina and Robert "Chip" Polich Jr. of Deerwood; 2 daughters, Catherine (William) Smith of Huntsville, Alabama and Donna (Robert) Showers of Bloomington; daughter-in-law, Karen Polich of Gunnison, CO; 3 brothers, Denny (Laurie) Polich of Crosby, Mike Martin of Ironton and Chester (Phyllis) Martin of Crosby; 1 sister, Ann Murphy of Crosby; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Preceding Bob in death are his wife, Eunice; his parents and 2nd father, George Martin; 1 son, Michael Polich; 2 sisters, Rose Satovich and Dorothy Matthews; and 1 brother, Clifford Polich.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors presented by the Myrin-James American Legion Post. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Saturday.
