Robert Splettstoeszer

Robert Jennings Splettstoeszer age 74 of Brainerd died on December 29, 2011 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. He was born on July 2, 1937 in Deerwood to Stanley and Aimar (Ford) Splettstoeszer. He married Lorraine Oliver on December 27, 1958 in Deerwood. Bob graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School, class of 1955. He enjoyed farming and traveling to Texas with Lorraine. Bob worked with Carl Leino Trucking and Nelson, Inc. and was a retired Potlatch employee with 34 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lorraine; 3 daughters, Sharon Santi of Brainerd, Donna (Ted) Young of Pequot Lakes, and Sandra Zwilling of Eden Valley; 4 sisters, Katherine Olander Of Emily, Louise (Lewis) Forsmark of Bloomington, Mary (Arvin) Packer of Park Rapids, and Betty (Lester) Shankle of Mishawaka, Ind; sister-in-law, Glenna Splettstoeszer of Ironton; eleven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, 1 son, Dale Roger Splettstoeszer ; 1 brother, Erick and 1 grandson, Anthony Robert Zwilling. Funeral services will be 2 pm on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Sunday from 12 noon until the 2 pm service.
