Ronald Dale Taylor age 79 of Crosby died on May 9, 2014 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on January 7, 1935 in Crosby to Edwin and Bernadette (Manske) Taylor. Ron was employed with M.A. Hanna Mining Company from 1953 to 1963, Trail-A-Sled (Scorpion) from 1963 to 1964 Climax Mine from1964-66 and he retired in 1997 from MN DOT after 27 years of service.
Survivors include his wife Beatriz; his children, Nancy Anderson of Crosby, Rhonda (Jeff Nickels) Taylor of Pine River, Vicki (Jeff Nelson) Taylor of Nisswa, Chris (Dale Weiss) Tulenchick of Backus, Mark (Kristi) Taylor of Crosby, Curt Taylor of Backus, Craig (Gina) Taylor of Nisswa and Eric (Tyra) Taylor of Baxter; 1 brother, Dave (Diane) Taylor of Parkers Prairie; sister-in-law, Chit Taylor of Crosby; 9 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, 6 great granddaughters and 10 great grandsons; 1 niece and 4 nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents and 2 brothers, Gary and Steve Taylor.
Funeral services will be 11 am on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4 to 7 pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm.
