Ronald David Wasson

Ronald David Wasson age 49 of Crosby passed away March 25th at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born to Don and Mary Ellen Wasson July 19, 1964. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1982. He was a former drag racer at BIR & his passion for racing continued to North Central Speedway, where he met the love of his life for 30 years. He married Jill Kropuenske May 22, 1993 in Deerwood MN. He loved to make people laugh with his unique sense of humor, fishing with his son and preserving memories by taking pictures. He was a member of Truth Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Ron had previously been employed in manager positions at Acrometal and Wal-Mart. He enjoyed manufacturing fishing lures, designing signs and graphics and race cards.

He is survived by his wife, Jill; two children, Ben Wasson and Allie Jo Wasson; mother, Mary Ellen Wasson of Brainerd; mother & father in law, Howard and Julie Kropuenske of Motley; brothers in laws, John (Sara) Kropuenske of Motley and Alex (Doreen) Kropuenske of Staples; Uncle, Bernie Nephew of Crosby; Aunt, Jeannine Nephew of Crosby; Uncle, Larry Wasson; Great Aunt, Katie Perpich of Ironton; Great Uncle, Steven Jelencich of Cuyuna; many cousins, nieces and nephews; Step Grandfather, James Evans and special family friend Bob Welsch.

He is preceded in death by his father, Don Wasson, brother-in-law, Howard Kropuenske; Grandparents, Bernard and Mary Nephew and Lois and Ed Wasson.

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Visitation will be from noon until the time of the services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
