Roscoe Anton Anderson

Roscoe Anton Anderson age 90 of Outing died on January 2, 2017 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born on July 12, 1926 in Minneapolis to Anton and Esther (Peterson) Anderson. Roscoe was a WWII Navy veteran serving on the USS Saratoga. He married Jeanne O’Brien on May 24, 1962 in Osseo. He was a retired Warehouseman at United Hardware with 40 years of service.
Roscoe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jeanne; two sons, Michael (Cathryn) Anderson of Milaca, Rocky Anderson of Eden Prairie; three daughters, Julie (Greg) Jacobs of Andover, Colette (Mark) Wosmek of Ramsey, and Antoinette (Matt) Grife of Cheyenne, WY; and seven grandchildren.
Preceding Roscoe in death are his parents, and one brother, Sterling Anderson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Outing. Burial will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Emily with full military honors given by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
