Rose Anne Stimac

Rose Anne Stimac, age 80 of Brainerd formerly of Ironton died on December 2, 2023 at Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin.  She was born on July 24, 1943 in Gouverneur, New York to Edward and Muriel (Hance) Barto.

Rose is survived by two sons, Jon “Goose” (Cory) Gutzman of Blaine, Brent  “Bubba” (Amy) Gutzman of Aitkin; two daughters, Lisa Gutzman of Crosby and Carla Miller (Bill Robbins) of Lindstrom; three step children, Brett Stimac, Brandi Stimac Mahowald and Brian Stimac; one brother, Chuck Barto of North Berwick, Maine; two sisters, Mary Dandrea of Clouquet and Sue Barto of Ironton; special friend, Don Nickel of Brainerd and will also be deeply missed by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding Rose in death are parents; husband James Stimac; one daughter, Nicole Gutzman; one brother, Edward Barto; great grandson, Oliver Gutzman and step son, Blaine Stimac.

A Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood.  Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
