Russell Duane Ecklid age 73 of Crosby died on August 10, 2013 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born on July 1, 1940 in Madison, WI to Norman and Dorothy Ecklid. He was a US navy veteran. Russ was known as a true Harley Davidson enthusiast. Survivors include 2 daughters, Jane (Brad) Holmvig of Crosby and Jean Barber of Crosby. 1 brother, Eugene (Beverly) Ecklid of Aitkin; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Preceding him in death are his parents, 1 daughter, Sharyl Ecklid and 1 brother Gary Ecklid. Funeral services will be 4 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Bay Lake Cemetery with full military honor given by the Myrin- James American Legion Post #443, Ironton. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Thursday.
