Ruth Blanich

Ruth Elizabeth Blanich age 92 of Crosby died on April 26, 2011 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on April 24, 1919 in Aitkin. She graduated from the Aitkin High School, Class of 1936. Ruth was a member of the Crosby-Ironton Presbyterian Church in Crosby and the Myrin-James American Legion Auxiliary in Ironton. Survivors include: 1 son, James(Joan) Blanich of Eagan; 2 daughters, Barbara (Dr. James) Blanich Call and Susan (Jay) Stromberg all of Deerwood; Brother-in-law, Steve (Josephine) Blanich of Deerwood; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Milo; granddaughter, Tracy Blanich Davis; 1 brother, Russell Erickson and 2 sisters, Marcia Johnson and Catherine Sjodin. Funeral services will be 11 am on Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Crosby-Ironton Presbyterian Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Sunday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 2 to 5 pm and on Monday 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
