Ruth Hamilton

Ruth Ann Hamilton age 81 of Deerwood died at her home on December 13, 2013. She was born on April 28, 1931 in Crosby to Clifton and Naomi (Dike) Thompson. She married Earl M. Hamilton on August 16, 1950 in Crosby. Ruth was a retired cook and media aid employee at the Crosby-Ironton Elementary School with 20+ years of service. Survivors include 5 daughters, Debra Hamilton of Ironton, Susan Gerard of Maple Grove, Patti Valentino of Navarre, FL, Cheryl (Tim) Copperstone of Tucson, AZ and Lisa Hamilton of Crosby; 1 brother, Bob Thompson of Garrison; special niece, Cathy Thompson of Garrison; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband Earl in 1975; 1 brother, Buck Thompson; 2 sisters Cleo Peterson, Carol Nickaboine; 2 grandchildren, Megan and Devon Marthaler. A memorial gathering will be held from 12 to 3 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Deerstand in Deerwood. The family prefers memorials to Advocates Against Domestic Abuse or a non profit organization of your choice, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
