Ruth Olephine Turnquist age 99 of Crosby died on November 16, 2012 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. She was born on January 19, 1913 in Iowa to Ernest and Ingrid (Mather) Jones. Ruth was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. Survivors include 2 sons, Kenneth (Phyllis) Turnquist of North Pole, Alaska, and Jerrold Turnquist of Brainerd; 3 daughters, Arloine (Carroll) Fuhr of Stillwater, Maxine (Leslie) Williams of Longville, TX and Judith (James) Malsam of Woodruff, SC; 2 sisters, Christine Magney of Brainerd and Verna Jones of Bloomington; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Mauritz; 4 brothers, Melvin, Robert, Donald and Leroy Jones and 1 sister, Edna Lundberg. Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 20th at Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. Burial will be at the Snake River Cemetery near Becker. Friends may call on Tuesday 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
