Sally Joan Stark

Sally Joan (Thompson) Stark, Crosby, formerly of Columbia Heights, passed from this earth on October 3, 2022. Sally was born in Onamia, Minnesota on July 18, 1933 to Charles Elmer Thompson and Mary Louise (Metz) Thompson.

Graduating from Onamia High School, Sally moved to St Paul where she met and married Robert Frederick Stark. The Starks made their home in Columbia Heights and were members of the Community United Methodist Church of Columbia Heights. Sally moved to Heartwood Senior Living Community in 2018.

Sally is survived by her sons Steven (Susan) and Bryan (Juli); Sally’s widowed daughter-in-law Linda; grandchildren Katie (Ben) Blake, Kelly (Nick) Kintigh, Joshua Stark, Joanna Stark, Jacob (Heidi) Stark, and Patrick (Danyelle) Stark; and six great-grandchildren.  Sally was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Frederick Stark, and son Randall Robert Stark; parents Charles Elmer Thompson and Mary Louise (Metz) Thompson; and brothers Gordon and Robert Thompson.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the devoted and caring staff at Heartwood Senior Living; to Anne, Shania, Judy, Shane, and Tara; and special thanks to Maggie, Jessica, Mckayla, Tiffany, Sam, Tami, and Jake for your years of love and service to Sally.  Thank you to the angels at St Croix Hospice; to her caregiving team Dr. David Goodwin, Dr. Abby Murray, Jeanette Montgomery CNP; Samantha Stanfield PA in the ER, North Ambulance, and the staff at The Care Center.
