Shirley Ann Davies

June 22, 1935 — March 4, 2025

Shirley Ann Davies age 89 of Crosby passed away on March 4, 2025 at the Heartwood Care Center in Crosby.  She was born on June 22, 1935 in Crosby to William and Louise (Kant) Meacham.  Shirley was united in marriage with John Davies in Aitkin on February 19, 1953.

Shirley loved family gatherings, cooking, playing cards, fishing and traveling.  John and Shirley spent their winters in Tucson, AZ for 32 years.

Shirley is survived by her husband John; one son, Mike (Gina) Davies of Silver Bay; one daughter, Kathy (John “Tappo”) Deblock of Aitkin; four grandchildren, Ryan Deblock of Cuyuna, Aaron Davies of Finland, Matt (Valerie) Deblock of Knife River, and Kayla Davies of Holyoke; nine great grandchildren and sisters-in-law, Ardie Meacham of Bemidji and Shirley Davies of Aitkin.

Preceding Shirley in death are her parents; son, Mark; one sister Phyllis Hensley; and two brothers, Douglas Meacham and Donald Meacham.

A Memorial service will be 11: a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
