Shirley Rae Lofquist

Shirley Rae Lofquist age 66 of Bay Lake Township died on June 19, 2016 at her home. She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on February 22, 1950 to Palmer and Darlene (Nellis) Goppelt. She was a registered nurse with 35 years of service at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, a nursing instructor at Central Lakes College for 26 years. She was also a former 4H leader for the Bay Lake Area.
Shirley is survived by five daughters, Becky (Seth) Pakarinen of Deerwood, Gretchen (Adam) Gilmer of Burleson, TX, Rachael (Matt) Beehler of Brooklyn Park, Heidi (Dan) Burgstaler of St. Paul and Vanessa Lofquist of Crosby; one daughter-in-law, Kristi Lofquist of Brainerd; two sisters, Marlys (Wayne) Krech of St. Paul and Nancy (Dennes) Burney of Blue Grass, IA; and six grandchildren.
Preceding Shirley in death are her parents and one son, Gregory Lofquist.
Funeral services will be 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
