Stephen John Barber

Stephen J. Barber, age 75 of Rabbit Lake Township died on November 28, 2020 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  He was born on March 16, 1945 in Brainerd to Benjamin and Amy (Butler) Barber.  He was a U.S. Army veteran serving with the 82nd Air Borne.  Steve married Cheryl Dehning on November 24, 1963 in Aitkin.  He was Structural Iron Worker, Local 563, Duluth with 25 years of service and a retired Cuyuna Fireman.

Steve is survived by his wife Cheryl; two sons, Greg Barber of Aitkin and Grant (Jeanne) Barber of Farmington; two sisters, Mary (Ben) Sandberg of Glencoe and Sarah (Reggie) Bever of Chugiak, Alaska; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Preceding Steve in death are his parents; one brother, David Barber and one sister Katherine Paulson.

Due to COVID no services are being planned at this time.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
