Steven Bruce Stangel

Steven Bruce Stangel age 68 of Brainerd died on January 30, 2016 at his home. He was born in Crosby on May 16, 1947 to Frank and Illa (Fletcher) Stangel. Steven was a logger in Montana, an over the road semi driver and his favorite job was playing the honky-tonk piano in area bars. He considered himself " a jack of all trades; a master of none."
Survivors include four sons, Brian Stangel, Matthew (Mindy) Stangel of Sand Point, ID, Joshua (Tonya) Stangel of Brainerd and James (Kari) Green of Pierz; six daughters, Stephanie Gross of San Diego, CA, Pamela Roberts of Athol, ID, Heidi (Scott) Wieme of Brainerd, Amy Green of Brainerd, Michele(Greg) Larson of Merrifield and Lisa (Nick) Schuman of Brainerd; three brothers, Tom (Kathy) Stangel of Tuscan, AZ; Brad Stangel of San Carlos, Mexico and Kim Stangel; and nineteen grandchildren.
Preceding Steven in death are his parents; one son, Steven Stangel Jr.; and one brother, Randy Stangel.
A visitation will be held at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
