Susan Mary Zgutowicz

Susan Mary Zgutowicz, age 78 of Deerwood died on April 1, 2023 at Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.  She was born on July 4, 1944 in Minneapolis to Robert and Mary (Carlin) Beam.  Sue married Gary Zgutowicz on September 21, 1968 in Minneapolis.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby and volunteered at the Cuyuna Range Food Shelf.

Sue is survived by her husband Gary; her son, Andrew (Nancy) Zgutowicz of Glen Ellyn, IL; her daughter, Jennifer (Kurt) Schiller of Stafford, VA; two sisters, Cheryl (Tom) Glisczinski of Eden Prairie and Linda Beam of Minneapolis; six grandchildren, Jack, Caroline and Peter Zgutowicz and Liam, Katherine and Joseph Schiller.

Preceding Sue in death are her parents and a brother, David Beam.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  Visitation will be on Monday one hour prior to the funeral mass.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given the Cuyuna Range Food Shelf. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
