Tammy Rae Butler

Tammy Rae Butler, age 65 of Aitkin, passed away at her home on February 25, 2026. She was born in Norfolk, VA on October 24, 1960 to David and Judith (Ruschmeyer) DeCent. Tammy was united in marriage with Thomas Butler on August 2, 1980 in Iron Hub. She retired from Anderson Brother’s in Brainerd with 36 years of service. Tammy was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Iron Hub.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Tom; her father, Dave DeCent of Tucson, AZ; one brothers, David (Sally) DeCent of Oracle, AZ; two sisters, Kim DeCent and Lisa DeCent both of Tucson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Tammy in death are her mother; and one sister Kristy Dahlin.

A Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Iron Hub. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
