Terrance D. "Terry" Purington

Terrence (Terry) D. Purington, 77 of Garrison passed in peace from dementia with his beloved wife and best friend Becky Hanson-Purington at his side.  Terry was born on July 25, 1942 in Rugby N.D.

Terry was an avid golfer and got a hole in one on May 1, 1996 at Prestwick in Woodbury, MN on the 14th hole using a 5 iron.  He loved fishing, hunting and visiting with friends.  Terry had strong faith, loved animals and nature.  He was the former owner with his wife of Park Café and Catering in St. Paul Park.  He retired to his lake home on Borden Lake, Garrison, MN in 2002.

Preceding Terry in death are his father, Lyle Purington; Father and Mother-in-law, Don and Arlyce Hanson and Brother-in-law Bob Suchan.

Terry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Becky; one Son, Tim Purington of Hammond, Wi, two grandsons, Bryce and Griffin Purington; his Mother, Louise Purington of Devils Lake, ND; three sisters, Connie (Ron)Lorel, Finley, ND, Patti Suchan of Fargo, ND and Cindi (Tom) Togstad of Wilber, NE; 7 nephews and 2 nieces.

Due to Covid19 a private Celebration of Life will be a held.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
