Thomas Nephew

Thomas Steven Nephew age 64 of Crosby died on July 13, 2010 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born on Nov. 4, 1945 in Duluth to Bernard Andrew and Mary (Magdich) Nephew. He graduated from the Crosby-Ironton High School Class of 1964. He married Jeanine Bayliss on Feb. 15, 1969 in Crosby. Tom is a retired customer service Rep. with Minnesota Power with 33 years of service. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton. He is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Crosby and a former member of the Cuyuna Range Lions Club. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Jeannine; 2 daughters, Sheila Hunter of Ironton, Jill (John Leonard) Gundry of Crosby; 1 brother, Bernard Nephew of Crosby; 1 sister, Mary Ellen Wasson of Brainerd; 4 grandchildren, Devan Gundry, Kailie Gundry, Tyler Hunter and Ashley Hunter; many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are is parents. Funeral services will be 11 am on Friday, July 16th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby with full military honors provided by the Myrin-James American Legion. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 8 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
