Thomas Duane Sundly age 62 of Deerwood died unexpectedly on September 9, 2012 in Clearwater, MN. He was born on July 2, 1950 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Vernon and Ethel (Lund) Sundly. Tom married Sharon Kay Dzubay on July 10, 1976. He was a US Air Force veteran. Currently he was employed at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Security and the Mille Lacs Liquors in Garrison. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon; 3 daughters, Sherri (John) Sheppard of Coon Rapids, Paulette Hunczak of Deerwood and Danielle Sundly of St. Cloud; 1 brother, Rick (Cheryl) Sundly of New Brighton and 1 sister, Sherry (Jeff) McGowen of Ham Lake; 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Megan, Ryan, Dylan, Jayce and Elizabeth; his best friend, Spruce; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 11 am on Friday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby with full military honors given by the Myron-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton. Friends may call on Thursday at the Koop Funeral Home from 4 to 8 pm and 1 hour prior to the funeral on Friday. If so desired memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
