Vietta Adelle Rude

Vietta Adelle Rude age 83 of Crosby died on March 26, 2016 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on August 11, 1932 in Iron Hub to Richard and Rebecca (Wynn) Rider. She graduated from the Crosby-Ironton School, class of 1951. Vi married Richard Allen Rude on April 19, 1957 in Crosby. She was an employee of Edna's Dress Shop, Crosby; Waitress at Charlie's Restaurant, Elks Club, Super Value all of Brainerd; the Y Club, Garrison and was owner Rude's Grocery April 1969 to May 1977; and K-Mart, Brainerd. She was a member of Women's Auxiliary Deerwood Legion. After retirement Vi wintered in Yuma, AZ with family.

Vi is survived by one son, Donald (LaVel) Rude of Amelia, VA; five daughters, Deborah (William) Johnson of Crosby, Cynthia Tauzell of N. St. Paul, Theresa (Chris) Webber of Maple Grove, Rene' (Mick) Lind of Crosby and Kimberly (Bruce) Clarke of Cottage Grove; one brother, Clarence Rider of Spokane, WA; one sister, Myrtle Bollenbacher of Crosby; sixteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Preceding Vi in death are her parents; husband, Richard in 1993; six brothers, Ernest, Richard, Leo, Jewel, Robert and Gilbert Rider; three sisters, Lois Peterson, Esther Cook and Edna Wolford; and one grandson, Josh Kalvser.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Scandia Cemetery in Deerwood. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. The family invites you to wear pink, as it was Vi's favorite color. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby
