Viola Edna Bye

Viola Edna Bye age 92 of Crosby died on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical in Crosby. She was born on June 7, 1922 in Ryegate, MT to Gilbert and Ella (Markwardt) Beebe. She married Arthur Bye on December 21, 1940 in Iron Hub. She was a former member of the Crosby Chamber of Commerce with 57 years of service to the area through the Crosby Hardware, Bye's Furniture and Appliance and Bye Cable Company. She was a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Auxiliary, the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge both in Brainerd and the AAD Shrine Club Band-Aids.
Vi is survived by a son, Conrad (Carolyn) Bye of Nisswa and a daughter, Paula (Jim) Traylor of Crosby; 1 brother, Jay (Yvonne) Beebe; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Arthur in 1997; 3 brothers, Clifford, Raymond and Fritz Beebe; and 2 sisters, Ruth Bierman and Marjorie Martinson.
Funeral services will be 11: 00 am on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
