Violet E. "Vi" Crowell age 100 died at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby on August 22, 2014. She was born in Brainerd on May 18, 1914 to Edward and Esther (Thallman) Simonson. She married Lloyd Robert Crowell in Duluth on July 19, 1937. Vi was a retired employee of the Deerwood Bank.
Survivors include 3 step-daughters, Lucile Daugherty, Dorothy Wolleat and Joan Turner; step grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband Lloyd;1 sister, Eunice Simonson and 1 brother, Clifford Simonson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood. Burial will be at the Deerwood Scandia Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral services at the church. Memorials are preferred to Salem West in Deerwood. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
