Walter Minarich
August 22, 1923 — January 26, 2016
Walter Minarich age 92 of Crosby died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on August 22, 1923 in Crosby to Anthony and Mary (Rachki) Minarich. Walt graduated from the Roseville High School in Roseville, CA class of 1942. He married Patricia Ann Enemark in Crosby on September 17, 1950. Walt was employed with Burlington Northern and Northern Pacific Railroads, retiring in 1973. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby and the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443 of Ironton.
Walt is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pat; Two daughters, Pamela (Jack) Clemens of North St. Paul and Debra (Joe) Branden of Aitkin; one son, Michael (Kathy) Minarich of Crosby; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Walt in death are his parents, four brothers, Bill, John, Tony and Mike Minarich and three sisters, Julia Tomson, Sylvia Vranish, Rose Johnson and Emma Shaver.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby at a later date.
