Our father passed away, December 19, 2016. So many of you did not know our Dad, some of you did. For those lucky enough to have spent time with him, you know Wayne Emil Lundquist was a one of a kind man. He was a maverick. He had a quick mind, was brilliant in many ways and knew things about things that made it seem like he was privy to an exclusive education. He was was fierce and strong and brave and we don't know that we have ever met anybody who worked harder or was better intended than him. He was sure everything was black and white and nobody tried harder than him to live a good life. He was a great father to us, his three children. He didn't always understand us or our passions but he accepted us and anybody who was important in our lives and he championed our causes. Our father was never more fierce than when someone he loved was threatened. Our father was our rock in so many ways. In his black and white world he was solid to us and we always knew that he had our backs. He loved us and we knew it. Our Father was never NOT helping somebody. Even in his fierceness he was a softy, especially when it came to children. Our dad did not like the limelight but if there were awards for "good men" he would surely be up for one. We love how he was true to himself, true to his ways and an example of strength and fortitude. Rest in peace, Dad. We will miss your many calls, your fierce hugs, the conversations that could change the world and the times when you looked at us and teared up and didn't have the words to express your love for us, but we knew. We will miss the way you smelled and the way you could throw your head back and laugh. We'll miss your advice and steadfast guidance in all things big and small. Thank you for your unwavering dedication to how you raised us and for giving us the skills to manage this world. We know more than anything, you wanted to prepare us for this day so we could carry on without you. Your favorite saying was "remember you are made of Swedish Steel". And with our broken hearts today, we will cling to that.  Wayne Emil Lundquist, born December 23, 1945.  He is preceded in death by his Father, Emil, Mother, Lauraine and Brother, Gary.  He is survived by his three children:  Tama Lundquist and her partner Gary Becker, Tena Lundquist Faust and her husband Tyson Faust, Luke Lundquist and his wife Gretchen Lundquist, and two granddaughters, Taylor and Simone Lundquist and grandson Harrison Cole Owen.   He is also survived by his girlfriend Laurie Vivant.
