William Darsnek

William Dennison Darsnek age 76 of Aitkin died on April 28, 2011 at the Presbyterian Home of Roseville. He was born on March 30, 1935 in Minneapolis to Ernest and Norma (Dennison) Darsnek. He married Nancy Wozniarski on November 15, 1971 in Sisseton, SD. Bill was a retired US Army veteran with service to the Army and National Guard. He was a member and past commander of the Aitkin American Legion. Survivors include his wife Nancy; 3 sons, James (Patty) Darsnek of Crystal, Wayne (Vi) Darsnek of Overland Park, KS and Billy Palmer of St. Francis; 5 daughters, Lynn Pasbrig of Monticello, Jill (Rolland) Mariette of New Brighton, Gwen (Dale) Anderson of Minnetonka, Judy (Robert) Nessinger of East Bethel and Kimberly Darsnek of Minnetonka; 2 brothers, Robert (Helen) Darsnek of Waukegan, IL and Jack (Lan) Darsnek of Emily; 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm on Monday, May 2nd at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Military honors will be given by the Aitkin American Legion Post. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday 2 hours prior to the service.
