William Sunde

William Ewing Sunde age 76 of Deerwood died on February 19, 2011 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. He was born on February 18, 1935 in Sacramento, CA to Edward and Gladys (Winter) Sunde. Bill was a former Inland Steel employee with 13 years of service. Retired owner and installer of Sunde Floor Covering. Bill was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby; Mystic Masonic Lodge #213 AF and AM; Scottish Rite and AAD Shrine, all of Duluth; and the Serbian Sisters. Survivors include his wife Char; 3 daughters, Susan (Brad) Iverson of Sartell, MN; Barbara (Dean) Balster of Brainerd, and Marianne (Robert) McLaughlin of Cuyuna; 5 grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan Goehring) Moore, Rapid City, SD, Ashley McLaughlin, Cuyuna, Joseph McLaughlin, Jamestown, ND, Alex Balster, Brainerd, and Sophie Balster, Brainerd; 1 great grandchild Molly Goehring. Preceding him in death are his parents; and 1 brother, Donald "Dunder" Sunde. Funeral services will be 1 pm on Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm with a Masconic service at 7:30 pm and on Thursday 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
