Wilma Dessie Enger

March 11, 1927 — November 10, 2015

Wilma was born March 11, 1927 in Guelph, North Dakota to John and Essie Schwarting. Wilma's twin brother, Willard, was born immediately after her. They grew up in Guelph and graduated from high school in May, 1945.

After receiving an emergency teaching certificate, Wilma taught for two years in North Dakota. Then she went to college one year, receiving a standard normal certificate qualifying her to teach elementary grades. She began a remedial reading program in the Aberdeen Public School in 1948.

June 15, 1949 Wilma married Don Enger. They lived in Ellendale, ND while he finished college and she taught second grade in the public school there.

April 18, 1951, their son, Lee, was born. Don graduated from college in May and began his teaching career. Wilma directed her teaching to her own children and to Sunday School and women's Bible studies. She loved keeping house, baking bread and cinnamon rolls, and mothering their four children, Lee, Lizabeth, Lin and Leif.

Wilma's main goal in life was to have a godly family. She and Don were Christians committed to living in obedience to Jesus Christ. She went home to be with the Lord November 10, 2015 in Osakis, Minnesota.
