Yvonne Alma Sanvig

Yvonne Alma Sanvig, age 87 of Ironton, passed away at Vitality Living in Aitkin on August 28, 2026. She was born on April 30, 1939 in Rice to Richard and Myrte (Haffner) Sanvig. Yvonne married LeRoy Sanvig on April 5, 1958 in Crosby.

She was a former housekeeper and laundry employee at Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge.

Yvonne is survived by four sons, LeRoy Sanvig Jr. of Crosby, Dennis Sanvig of Crosby, William Sanvig of Brainerd and Thomas (Liz) Sanvig of Crosby; one daughter, Sandra Cutter of Ironton; three brothers, Otto (Brenda) Bartel of Bullhead City, NV, Melvin (Deb) Bartel of Tuscan, AZ and David (Jean) Bartel of Tuscan, AZ; three sisters, Janet Morin of Blaine, Myrtle Judd of Red Wing and Donna Bartel of St. Paul; ten grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren.

Preceding Yvonne in death are her parents; her husband, LeRoy Sr.; three brothers, Dick, Bobby and Jimmy Bartel; Two sisters, Angie Bodecker and Joyce Bartel and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Burial will be at the Scandia Cemetery in Deerwood.
