Albert “Tom” Liedman, Age 70, of Baxter, Minnesota, died peacefully on January 2, 2021.
Tom had a great zest for life and lived each day with joy. He loved his family, caretakers, pretty girls, boat rides, Paul Bunyan, Dairy Queen, church, Monday spaghetti nights, coffee, a cold beer with his brothers, The Wizard of Oz, and Eli Platisha. He taught everyone he met, family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers about compassion, understanding, patience, and acceptance.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Albert Liedman.
Tom is survived by his loving siblings, Bonnie (Jim) of Tampa, Fl, Ron (Cindy) of Eagan, MN, and John (Kristi) of St. Bonifacius, MN, nephews Jason (Gloria) Kochalka, John (Tina) Kochalka, Justin (Abby) Kochalka, Tyler (Jamie) Liedman, Bryan (Stephanie) Liedman, and nieces Allison Liedman and Sarah Liedman.
The family would like to thank everyone in the community for the many acts of kindness shown towards Tom over his lifetime and the wonderful staff at Basswood Group Home and Lutheran Social Services who took such wonderful care of him for many years.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at Deerwood Cemetery on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
