Arnold Wesley “Arnie” Graff, age 82 of Deerwood formerly of Bloomington died on December 30, 2021 at his home. He was born in Morris, MN on February 22, 1939 to Arthur and Lanora (Gulbrandson) Graff. He was a US. Army. In 1957 Arnie graduated from WCSA in Morris. Arnie married Sylvia Koehntop on July 8, 1961 in Donnelly, MN. A retired Tool and Dye Maker with Hitchcock Industries in Minneapolis with 40 years of service. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby; the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post #557, Deerwood; a former Bay Lake Area Lions Club member, receiving the Melvin Jones and Helen Keller Awards; a member of Sons of Norway, Brainerd; the Snow Packers; Bay Lake Improvement Association and the Minnesota Angling and Dark House Association.
Arnie is survived by his wife Sylvia; one son, Allen Graff of Zimmerman; five grandchildren, Sarah (Mike) Fredrick, Allisen Graff, Neal (Olivia) Hanson, Austin Graff and Natalie Hanson; five great grandchildren, Jaiden, Caden, Mason, Carter and Saylor; two sisters, LaVonna Hansen of Dassel and Marian (Dave) Skaar of Hutchinson.
Preceding Arnie in death are his parents; one daughter, Sherlyn Hanson and one brother Wallace Graff.
A Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Bay Lake Township Cemetery with full military honors given by the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post. A visitation will be on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
