Burt Leslie Tasche or more affectionately known a s Burturde. Was 59 years old, 5 months shy of his 60thbirthday when He passed away in November due to health complications. He lived in Minnesota his whole life born in Watertown MN to Patricia & Roy Tasche, and father two daughters in Brainerd where he spent the remainder of his life. Burt was formally educated in Horticulture with a focus on landscape design and architecture. He dedicated his life to his craft and touched many people along the way. Even going as far to inspire one of his daughters to go into horticulture as well. Burt served in the military in his younger years and was honored as a sharpshooter, during his time in the service. Burt was an avid outdoorsman, a responsible hunter and fisherman. As well as an inspiring athlete. Burt completed many marathons and triathlons in his life, including inline marathons as well. He volunteered many winters at local fitness centers teaching classes and inspiring others to be their best self. He was happiest riding motorcycle, camping and kayaking. He was an active volunteer throughout his life. Most recently spent his retirement helping veterans maintain their yards and homes. When they were no longer in place to manage it themselves. He was an honored soldier, and Leader in his commitment to the landscape profession. And a beloved father, brother, and friend.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Roy & Patricia Tasche.
Burt is survived by his grandson Jasper; his daughters Megan (Andrew) and Brittney (Bill); his brothers Troy (Julie) and Greg (Amy); his partner Theresa and her daughter Carla; his aunt Norma Halberg and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by everyone who loved him and still loves him to this day. He will never be forgotten by those who is kindness and compassion touched every day of his life.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 26th, 2023, at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls will full military honors. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
