Obituary

Chris Milo Bickford, age 64 of Rabbit Lake Township died on December 23, 2021 at the Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin.  He was born in Aitkin on May 2, 1957 in to Ronald and Bertha (Wynn) Bickford.  Chris was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He was the retired owner of Bickford Welding in Ironton.  Chris married Deborah Summerlin on August 15, 1980 in Virginia Beach, VA.

 

Chris is survived by one son, Milo Bickford of Sioux Falls, SD; three daughters, Latisha Bickford of Roseville, Nicole Bickford of Aitkin and Felicia Bickford of Pequot Lakes; 4 sisters, Hope (Tony) Christensen of Castle Rock, CO., Robbin (Robert) Hendrickson of Brainerd, Wanda Sullivan of Mahnomen and Juanita Brown of Crosby; and seven grandchildren. 

 

Preceding Chis in death are his parents, his wife Deborah “Debby” in March of 2021; and one sister, Renee Matheny. 

 

A Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Woodland Cemetery in Irondale Township with full military honors by the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton.   A reception will follow at the Ironton Legion Post.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
