Clara May (Braff) Hartung

Clara May (Braff) Hartung, age 93 of Crosby died on November 19, 2021 at Heartwood Senior Living in Crosby.  She was born on May 30, 1928 in Cass Lake, MN to Charles and Linda (Lofstrom) Braff.  She graduated from the Cass Lake High School and French’s Business College in Bemidji. After college she did secretarial and accounting work for the Cass Co. Welfare Office in Walker and the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Cass Lake and Bemidji.  On January 9, 1960 she married Floyd Richard Hartung in Crosby.  They resided in Monticello before moving to Crosby in 1983.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby and for many years was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Clara is survived by fourteen nieces and nephews.

Preceding Clara in death are her parents; her husband, Floyd; five brothers, Harry, Laurel, Virgil, Loren and Morlan Braff and three sisters, Gladys Van Grinsven, Ardale Lausche and June Braff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby.  Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.  Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
