Erick (Ted) Norlin, 84, of Crosby, MN was called home by our Lord on July 3, 2022. Ted was born in Crosby, MN to John and Bertha (Lathrop) Norlin on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1938. He grew up in Crosby and attended Crosby High School.
Ted and Mary (Bendel) were united in marriage on May 23, 1964 and together they had two sons, John and Jeff. In 1971, the family moved to Madison, Minnesota from Minneapolis where Ted took a position with the Dawson Soybean Processing Plant. Ted was always a people person and joined a number of community organizations in Madison. After a divorce in 1993, Ted relocated to his hometown of Crosby. He loved this community and was a volunteer at the Soo Line Depot Museum where he could charm visitors with stories about Crosby's rich mining heritage. That twinkle in his eye made him a perfect Santa Claus for local community organizations and families. Ted enjoyed hunting and camping with his boys, riding the old time wagon train and driving his favorite golf cart in the annual 4th of July parade.
Cherishing Ted’s memories are his sons John (Roxanne) Norlin and Jeff (Deb) Norlin, as well as four grandchildren; Zachary (Amy) Norlin, Claire, Ella and Trenton. Ted was preceded in death by his parents John and Bertha Norlin.
