Frances Butorac Vidmar

Frances Butorac Vidmar, age 101 of Crosby died on October 18, 2021 at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  She was born in Crosby on December 31, 1919 to Marko and Ana (Adam) Butorac. In her younger years Fran was employed with the Crosby Hardware and Furniture with 30 years of service. Fran was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Crosby, the National Order of Catholic Foresters, the Slovenian Ladies Union of American, the Serbian Sisters, the Crosby-Ironton Garden Club, the Cuyuna Range Women’s Club, the Brainerd VFW and the Myrin-James American Legion Post #443, Ironton.  Fran was a very talented seamstress, making clothing for her family and others in the community. She also was an avid golfer and bowler, participating on several area leagues.

Fran is survived by one son, John (Cathy) Vidmar of Buffalo; two daughters, Judith Feddick of Marshfield, WI and Patricia Lasher of Crosby; one sister, Elizabeth Formanek of Henning; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.

Preceding Fran in death are her parents, her husband Joseph in 1990; one son, Joseph “Mike” Vidmar in 2020; three brothers, Frank, Joe and Matt Butorac; four sisters, Martha Miller, Mary Domencich, Margaret Harrison and Elsie Skoff.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.  A visitation will be one hour prior 

to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
