Gladys D. Rasmussen-King

Gladys D. Rasmussen-King age 96 of Crosby died on May 10, 2019 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby.  She was born in Groningen, MN on March 3, 1923, the daughter of Arthur and Hattie (Barnik) Haglin.  Gladys was employed at Land-o-Lakes in Aitkin from 1968 – 1970.  From 1971-1988 she was employed at the Crosby Care Center in housekeeping.  She retired from the Crosby Care Center in 1988.  She was a member of the Walter Scott Erickson American Legion Post Auxiliary #557 of Deerwood and the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby for over 60 years.

Gladys is survived by two sons, Erling (Patricia) Rasmussen and Dennis (Bonnie) Rasmussen; six grandchildren, Lori (Chad) Murray, Traci (Kelly) Myers, Shane Rasmussen, Mark (Melany Wynn) Rasmussen, Jane (Brad) Holmvig, Jean (Bill Sacks) Barber; fourteen great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Marcella Johnson.

Preceding Gladys in death are her parents, 1st husband, Erling Rasmussen and 2ndhusband, Ray King; brothers, Clarence, Harland, Arthur “Bud” and Wallace Haglin and a sister, Lucille Haglin.  

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Askov on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be on Thursday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 4 to 6 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to the services at the church.  If desired memorials are preferred to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby.
